Smith & Wollensky

Smith & Wollensky

We were engaged by architects MBDS to create “an arts and crafts environment based on materiality.” The restaurant needed finishes to its 400 square metres of ceiling, in keeping with the classic New York speakeasy look and feel. We applied Italian copper leaf to the coffers and created a bespoke Robert Adam-style concrete patina paint finish on the lower ceilings to complement it.

We also created a distinctive red gold leaf signage, in a colour palette and finish to perfectly balance with and enhance the restaurant’s green interior.
